Nature's Menu Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Dear Friends,
Many of us share our lives with significant others who just happen to be covered with fur and have four legs and a tail. We want to give them the best possible care so that they live long, happy, healthy lives. Unfortunately, we are losing them in ever increasing numbers to cancer, heart, kidney and liver failure, dental problems, allergic reactions and urinary tract disorders to mention but a few of the miseries that plague our pets. Over the years we have come to accept the word of the giant pet food conglomerates that only they know what is best for our pets to eat, but this is far from the truth. Statistics can be manipulated, half truths told, substandard materials cloaked with wonderfully evocative names and delightful advertisements made which persuade us to buy a specific brand of food. Consider this; even cardboard can be coated with enough vitamins, minerals etc., to meet the daily requirements of dogs and cats... but it will still be cardboard. It is time for the return of common sense. It is time for us to take back the responsibility of our pets' health and longevity. Today's dogs and cats are the result of 70 million years of evolution. Their needs are clear... they are carnivores; eaters of meat. It is when we feed them foods nature never intended them to eat, that problems occur. With the help of field researchers, naturalists, animal nutritionists and a highly critical pride of resident cats and dogs, we have formulated what we believe to be the best diets available. We hope that you will allow us to feed your furry friends and know that their health is as important to us, as it is to you.
